Little Mila decided to make a fashionably late arrival early Saturday morning at 2.30am weighing in at 8lb 4oz, and measuring 51cm. She's just divine and we're all in love - even big sister Rilka thinks she's great.

After 5 hours labouring at home with my amazing doula Kassandra, we headed into the birth suites at 12am where I managed to hold out and use only gas in the last 1/2 hour. Waters broke just minutes before she arrived, there was no stopping her once that happened... we didn't even have a midwife or my obstetrician in the room at the time! The emergency button was pressed, and it certainly was an exciting last 5 minutes. I had a friend photograph the birth so will share some great shots of Mila just after she was born soon.

In the meantime, I've barely had time to have my camera out, but plan on changing that ASAP. Look out for her newborn shoot in the next couple of days! xx

Mila was so sleepy after a feed today I decided to take advantage and get her in the studio for a couple of shots. I love love love the image on the right of her blowing a kiss - oh! she melts my heart!

Another shoot this morning, I wanted to get some classic black & whites and Mila was very obliging. We had the best night last night, my golly this girl can sleep! We got a full night, with an early wake up at 4.30am which I am absolutely stoked about. Not that I expect it to last, at least it's nice when it happens!

I'm hoping to get some shots of my 2 gorgeous girls together this afternoon - wish me luck!

Woo hoo! A gorgeous shot captured this morning of my 2 girls, I can rest easy now! I can't even describe how this image makes me feel, let's just say it's probably my favourite ever photo without a doubt.

And yes, that is Mila in her first cloth nappy!

I have dreamt of this shot ever since I bought this antique set of drawers for Mila's room. I'm in love!

Things are still going so well, I can't believe how easy Mila is, we still haven't heard her cry since coming home from hospital... makes me realise what a diva Rilka was at her age ;)

So cute! This is Mila and her friend Monte - born just 3 days apart. I can't wait to watch them grow together.

...it's just that I've been a little preoccupied with a certain little miss these last few weeks. I had my first week alone with my '2 under 2' and wow, what an experience it's been. All I want to do is sleep but at the moment I have either of the girls on me at any one time - combine that with trying to keep up with the mountains of washing, feeding, bottom patting (that's for Mila) and settling that needs to be done and all my time is gone.

So I thought it was about time I stopped and snapped another shot of Mila - Why is it you always love them just a little bit more when they're sleeping?

...While it may seem like all she does is sleep from these images, let me assure you Mila has definitely 'woken up' now that she's 3 weeks old and giving us some gorgeous stares with those beautiful slate blue eyes.

I'm just catching up on some work pre-Mila and came across these crackers of Edward and his truck full of popcorn. I love these and his funny expressions (I swear he's thinking in the first one 'who IS this ridiculous lady with the big black thing in front of her face, and WHY is she calling my name?'), I just had to share them!
